Demestri & Lefeuvre

Troisième Nature

Continuing their research into the notions of anomaly or creative error that were already at work in their previous creation (Glitch, 2019), Florencia Demestri and Samuel Lefeuvre extend it to the friction between the organic and the artificial, the human and the non-human, as well as the living and the non-living. Inspired by Anna Tsing's The Mushroom at the End of the World, they immerse us in a landscape of unpredictable and multiple temporalities where humanoid and animal silhouettes—fleeting and uncertain images—disturb our perception. In these crazy times, they remind us of our troubled lives, torn between great slowdowns and sudden emergencies.
