SOAK

SOAK works as a continuous gesture carried out through the empty space of a dance studio or theatre. Leaning towards and away from its function and efficacy, SOAK insists on its own duration and care. The body dissolves with delay and disappearance, as the peripheral elements of the space move into the centre. Raw features are revealed. SOAK searches for questions of labour, hierarchies of order and cleanliness, happening in the spaces we work and live in. SOAK maintains and keeps on celebrating all that's withdrawn into the invisibility of the laborious.
